| SUVOT Sustainable and vocational tourism | |
| Abstract: | SUVOT builds on the outcomes of the "Network of Cities for Sustainable Tourism", created within the LIFE Environment project "Strategies and Instruments for a Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean coastal areas", originally counting 16 local authorities who signed a common Chart proving their commitment to actively contribute to the promotion of sustainability. SUVOT aims to strengthen the Network, enlarging its activities and including the vocational tourism as potential strong driven-market force towards sustainability. Vocational Tourism is a new type of tourism based on personal values and specific interests: people living in different areas but with common sensibilities, interests, tastes and values (heritage, nature, biological food, sport & wellness, outdoor activities), in particular toward a more genuine and healthy lifestyle etc. |
